The Bisons have a very important homestand, 5 games in 3 days and all against the Rochester Red Wings. Right now, The Bisons and Red Wings are tied, 5 games back of the lead for the IL North, 4 games back of the Wild Card spot. They’re making a late push for the playoffs, something the Bisons haven’t achieved since 2005, and it’s in grasp. Tonight in the first doubleheader, Todd Redmond will take the mound and Todd spent most of this year up with the Toronto Blue Jays. Redmond is filling a gap that opened up when Daniel Norris was traded earlier this month to the Detroit Tigers. Game 2 will take place after the 5:35 game finishes, and Chad Jenkins will be on the hill for that game. Wednesday is just one game with Randy Wolf pitching for the herd at a 7:07 start time and Thursday is another double header after Monday night’s game was rained out. The first game starts at 12:35 with game 2 to follow that, so why not take the day off of work and spend it at the ball park.
If the Bisons can make it through this series and come out on top, they will definitely be a solid contender for a playoff spot. With more match ups with Rochester later this month, they Bisons need to show they can handle this club. If you haven’t got tickets for this series yet, I suggest you do it now.
