So us here in Buffalo normally dread the months of December-February because of 2 things: 1) the cold 2) the snow. But, there are people out there who are fascinated with snowstorms/weather, and one of them happens to be one of the biggest names in baseball, Mike Trout. In an article from Yahoo Sports, Trout frequently messages Weather Channel correspondent Jim Cantore about snowstorms. During the MLB offseason, Trout resides in Millville, New Jersey, a place where the average temperature in January is 36 F. When a massive snowstorm rolls through there, you know Trout is blowing up Cantore’s phone asking what is going on. The Weather Channel has already expressed interest in having Trout doing a segment this winter, but hey, Mike, come to Buffalo!
If you want to cover massive snowstorms, I really can’t think of a better place than Buffalo. You already said, and I quote: “A sick vacation for me would be to go to upstate New York when a big snowstorm hits.” We would love to have you here, whatever you need, you let us know at 1270 The Fan, we’ll take care of you.
So, if you’re reading this and you have connections to Mike Trout, pass this friendly message along. When you follow 36+ Twitter accounts and have a folder on your phone specifically for weather, you’re itching to experience some intense weather. And Buffalo would be the perfect place to surround yourself with frigid temperatures and 4ft snowbanks.
