HAPPY MLB POSTSEASON!
Almost, it’s still September, but still….
With the Pittsburgh Pirates clinching a playoff spot for the 3rd year in a row and the Toronto Blue Jays still dominating the AL East, it’s safe to say that I’m going to be one happy camper once it hits October. With Blue Jays postseason tickets becoming available at 10am, by 11:50 tickets were sold out for Game 1 and 2 of the ALDS (Blue Jay fans believe that the Jays are going to skip the Wild Card game and head right to the ALDS, and I don’t blame them, they Blue Jays have been on fire lately). The series last night that concluded with the Yankees was a preview of the playoffs and frankly, the Jays just looked like they wanted it more. Postseason is in reach for the first time in over 20 years and the whole team, top to bottom, is pulling out all the stops. Now, the Jays face the Orioles and the Rays, two teams who are way out of the playoff race. Smooth sailing? Let’s hope so.
The Pirates have been dominating the NL for the past few years; the NL Central has been tough to play as well with St. Louis being a constant powerhouse and the Chicago Cubs haven’t made things easier too. This postseason is going to be exciting, every team that makes is has worked their tails off, made big moves and overall deserve it.
For me, having two favorite teams in different divisions, I’m nervous but excited at the same time. Hopefully, I’ll have a team to root for all the way to the World Series. Because both of these teams, Pirates and Blue Jays, are World Series talent.
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
