Today on this packed Jerry Sullivan Show we brought you ALL around the sports landscape in our “Headlines”! Touching all around the NHL, NBA, NFL offseason and more!
Joe B from channel 7 sports, Bills beat writer came on. With all of the Bills and NFL draft preparation in the news he helped us break it down and make sense of what we’re hearing.
We had Josh Reed from Channel 4 sports shortly after. We spoke with him about the Sabres coaching search as well as some of the Jeff Skinner rumors and an update to see if the situation has leaned in the Sabres favor…at all.
We also were joined by Mike Augello in studio to talk about the NHL playoffs. We also talked with him about the Sabres coaching search as well as some rumors and news around the league heading closer to the Stanley Cup Finals.
NBA savant and guru Marc Stein of LA Times called in to talk about some of the NBA storylines this playoffs as well as lend us his thoughts on the chance of a Warriors 3-Peat and who he sees coming out of the East, considering how tough and good the team in the East are.
We were joined for a few minutes by Brian Hedger of the Columbus Dispatch to check in and talk with us about the Columbus Blue Jackets historic sweep of the 62 win-Tampa Bay Lightning. We also got into some offseason and Free Agent discussion as well!
NBA, Lakers beat writer for Lakers SB Nation Harrison Faigen called in to talk about the recent end to a miserable season by those Lakers. He also got into some of the details of the drama and the controversy surrounding the team as well as its star forward LeBron James.
Finally we had our buddy Mark Whicker join us. He was at the Masters this past week and weekend and he wrote a very nice and sound piece on Tiger Woods and essentially what he did and how it impacts his legacy and those who’ve watched him.
We also had the phone lines open and buzzing, taking calls and comments on many of these very inviting topics. All we ask is that you BRING IT!!!!!!! Our ‘Sports Update” also kept us up to date as far as locally and nationally.
