Today on this packed Jerry Sullivan Show we brought you ALL around the sports landscape in our “Headlines”! Touching all around the NHL, NBA, NFL offseason and more!
We had our buddy from WIVB sports, Channel 4 news Josh Reed stop by to talk a recap of the NFL draft and what the Buffalo Bills did to close out the NFL draft weekend. We spoke with him for a bit and brokedown all of the picks and where/how he thinks they will fit in.
We also were joined by Mike Rodak who helped fill in as host last week while Jerry was out. He helped us break down the draft from an ESPN perspective and gave us his take on the Bills picks from this weekend.
Sal Maiorana of the D&C, our weekly guest joined us to talk some NFL draft as well! What a surprise. We got his take on everything and anything from the draft including his perspective on the #9 overall pick, Houston’s Ed Oliver!
Byron Dafoe, former NHL goalie for the Capitals and most notably the Bruins joined us to talk about his former teams success thus far in the playoffs. We also asked him about the preparation and endurance it takes to compete in the NHL playoffs and make a run at the Cup! We even got into an interesting tidbit about his playoff career that involves a very memorable Buffalo team!
Our friend and fill-in host from last week Matthew Fairburn of the Athletic Buffalo joined us to wrap up his thoughts on the draft and all of the moves the Bills made. What did he grade the Bills organization for this draft and who should get the credit/blame depending on the way these picks shape out?
Finally we had our friend from Trainwreck Sports and BulletPoints716 Kevin Massare on the line to talk some UB football players that were in the NFL draft over the weekend and failed to be selected…however they all ended up on teams!
We also had the phone lines open and buzzing, taking calls and comments on many of these very inviting topics. All we ask is that you BRING IT!!!!!!! Our ‘Sports Update” also kept us up to date as far as locally and nationally.
