Today on this packed Jerry Sullivan Show we brought you ALL around the sports landscape in our “Headlines”! Touching all around the NHL, NBA, NFL offseason and more!
Joining us early was Mr. Mike Rodak of ESPN.com and the Tim Graham Show (hear it right here every Wednesday at 4pm!) and he had a lot to say about the goings on with the Buffalo Bills as the new draft picks begin to get acclimated with the team and the city. We got some discussion about Shady McCoy from Mike as well and there was plenty to analyze regarding 90 man rosters!
MIKE:
Our friend and weekly guest Matt Parrino of NYUpstate.com joined us in the first hour to give us more of his perspective on where he sees these picks and freshly added free agents will fit in schematically, in the locker room and down the road as this young team develops.
MATT:
We had our buddy Jon Scott from Spectrum Sports Buffalo to go all around the city from the Bills to the Sabres and some discussion about the surging Bandits. We also had a chance to discuss Felisha Legette-Jack’s extension with our UB Bulls womens BBall team and his thoughts on what lays ahead coaching-wise for the Buffalo Sabres.
JON:
We also were joined by Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News to discuss this curiously balanced and manageable mess the Yankees have opened the season with BUT have escaped with a winning record and are only 2 games back of the red hot Rays (23-12). She got into the injury news and updates on when some of the Yankees are slated to return and the impact they will have.
KRISTIE:
Finally stopping by in studio for our last segment was Thad Brown of WROC-TV in Rochester and RochesterFirst.com. He stopped by to talk to Jerry about some notable PGA golf memories as well as give his take on the Bills, Sabres and everything you could imagine…sort of !
THAD:
We also had the phone lines open and buzzing, taking calls and comments on many of these very inviting topics. All we ask is that you BRING IT!!!!!!! Our ‘Sports Update” also kept us up to date as far as locally and nationally.
