Today on this Wednesday Bucky & Sully Show, going into a Bills bye week, we were recapping EVERYTHING we could think of regarding the team AND going in hard on some local NCAA programs right here in Buffalo, talking their early and seemingly sustained improvement thus far.
The Sabres also hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning last night at Key Bank Center to a 2-1 VICTORY. They are officially HOT ladies and gentlemen. We had Sabres Forward Jeff Skinner on in the third segment of the first hour to talk about the teams success thus far and where they are headed!
We also were joined by Steve Watson, the Athletic Director of Loyola Chicago to talk his programs success last year and how that will translate to this year for the squad! He was great and really brought some national perspective to a locally potentially thriving market now like Buffalo is on the verge of.
Obviously Bucky chose his BUCK UP and we cant give any hints, but don’t worry, its relevant and oh so perfect. Don’t miss it! Any chance Shady stays with the Bills next season and beyond? Or does he want out? We discuss the potential of ALL of the Bills future moves as they continue the season and begin an early plan for next year. We had to mention the post bye week, Week 12 match up they have at home versus Jacksonville.
If that wasn’t all enough, we sprinkled our THERMOSTATS throughout the show and had our show ‘SHOUTOUTS!’ to end the day.

HOUR 1: The Sabres. Are. For. REAL. We may be counting our chickens…but the Buffalo Sabres are riding a wave of success and great hockey early in this NHL season and let us tell you: its refreshing! We talked with Jeff Skinner, forward on the team and we got into all the details of what they and he specifically feels is largely contributing to their 4-0-1 record in the past 5 matchups. We closed out the hour with our STEAMING hot THERMOSTATS and they sure did not disappoint.
HOUR 2: Kicking off the hour was Buckys ever-famous and oh-so-popular BUCK UP! He brought the heat on someone and you dont want to miss this one…it hits home! Joining us in the second segment was Steve Watson, Loyola Chicago’s Athletic Director, formerly of St. Bonaventure, and he was terrific! He broke down what it takes to build a program and how to sustain success at a high level!
HOUR 3: Sully is always salty…but the top of the third hour ALWAYS brings us his best with SALTY SULLY! He takes out his frustration on his daily topic…turn it UP! We got back in some Buffalo Bills discussion, heading into their bye week and what they need to do to consider the rest of this season a success.
