Today on this Tuesday Bucky & Sully Show we got into more Buffalo Sabres hockey and the refreshed Buffalo Bills off of their bye week taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars here in Buffalo.
After the huge 5-4 comeback win last night by the Sabres in Pittsburgh, we got a chance to hear from some of the players post-game and the guys reacted to it accordingly. We keep saying it but…the Sabres are HOT!
We also, as is Tuesday tradition, had Sal Maiorana of the Rochester D&C to breakdown this upcoming matchup for the Bills in Orchard Park. What are the keys to winning? What does the team and the returning Josh Allen have to prove to show they’re on the right track? Sal and the guys hit on it all in the second hour!
We got a chance to check in with the Bills OC Brian Daboll and DC Leslie Frazier from One Bills Drive yesterday after the bye week and in preparation of the game this Sunday. The coordinators had some interesting analysis on what has to go right and how they can have their squads prepared in this home tilt against a desperate Jags team.
Nick Perkins of the UB Mens Basketball Bulls team joined us in the second hour and he was great! We talked with him about the success early on this season and the expectations being ranked #22 in the rankings.
In the third hour, we were joined by the one and only Pierre Lebrun of TSN and The Athletic Toronto to talk NHL and the hot, hot Sabres and what they need to do to continue this success they’ve enjoyed thus far. He is a great guy and an even better guest and he sure brought the heat and the details when joining us!
Bucky chose his BUCK UP and as per usual, it was unbelievable and totally relevant…will this person here Bucky calling them out? We sure hope so!
Obviously Jerry was salty and he channeled this emotion in his daily SALTY SULLY and it does not disappoint. Classic Jerry, classic segment here on the show.
Our THERMOSTATS were HOTTER THAN EVER and they showed the mercury at the end of the hour! And how could we forget our Friday Show SHOUTOUTS!

HOUR 1: In the first hour we kicked off with Sabres discussion and their big comeback win last night in Pittsburgh versus the Penguins! We heard from HC Phil Housley after the game as well as some of the players from the locker room. What were some of their thoughts after the victory? We also got a chance to dive back into the Buffalo Bills and begin a preview of their week 12 matchup at home with the Jaguars. Steaming hot THERMOSTATS helped close out the hour !
HOUR 2: Bucky chose his BUCK UP right off the bat and according to recent history …it may be very effective ! You don’t wanna miss it ! Right after that we were joined by Sal Maiorana of the D&C to talk Bills and his Yankees big trade yesterday. We made sure to get back into the Sabres and the expectations moving forward for the young squad. Obviously we checked in on our poll from the first hour and the results were glaring. Who did you vote for?
SALTY SULLY showed his face in the third hour and let me tell you …it was vicious. Don’t miss that. We also had a chance to recap the MNF matchup last night that produced over 1000 total yards and 105 points in a 54-51 Rams win. StAts galore ! We closed out our poll for the day and brainstormed some new ones ! Show SHOUTOUTS ended the show and on a short week, were back for our final show of the holiday week tomorrow at 9!
