Today on this packed Jerry Sullivan Show we brought you ALL around the sports landscape in our “Headlines”! Touching all around the NHL, NBA, NFL offseason and more!
We had breaking news to start the show with John beilein, WNY native signing a 5 year deal to become the next head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers! We had Jack Armstrong on, now voice of the Toronto Raptors, who once coached against John and had some very great comments on the hire!
JACK:
Longtime NFL scout and friend of the show Greg Gabriel joined us to discuss the Bills first round draft pick Ed Oliver and some of the criticisms he has of the pick. We got his opinion and appreciate his time and the perspective from another angle.
GREG:
Joining us early was Jonah Bronstein of the Niagara Gazette and the Tim Graham Show here on the Fan. He is our basketball savant locally and we got his reaction to all three games from over the weekend, including an incredible last second, 4 bounce fall in the basket that closed out the game for Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors.
JONAH:
Our friend and weekly guest Sal Maiorana of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle called in the second hour and we discussed all of the latest Buffalo Bills headlines and rumors such as that of the Bills interest in DT Gerald McCoy in Tampa Bay. We also got Sal’s opinion on the evolution of this roster as mini camps ensue and the team begins to gel with its new additions.
SAL:
We had Jon Scott of Spectrum News Sports in Buffalo on later in the show to run through the latest sports headlines in the area such as the Bills mini camps, the Sabres coaching search and the like! Jon is a great guest and his interviews are always very informative!
JON:
Thad Brown of WROC-TV in Rochester called in the last hour to also breakdown some of the latest he’s heard regarding local Buffalo Bills, Sabres and general sports news. He also gave us his opinion on the NBA matchups from over the weekend and his reaction to his Sixers losing on a buzzer beater to miss out on the chance to advance to the ECF.
THAD:
Harrison Faigen of the Los Angeles Lakers SB Nation (Silver Screen and Roll) called in late in the show to update us on the most recent story out of the organization as they hired Frank Vogel to be the new HC of Lebron and the 2019-20 Lakers.

We also had the phone lines open and buzzing, taking calls and comments on many of these very inviting topics. All we ask is that you BRING IT!!!!!!! Our ‘Sports Update” also kept us up to date as far as locally and nationally.
