From AP, long time sports writer Barry Wilner called in the first segment to talk all of his latest pieces as well as get some breakdown of some of the big news nationally across sports.
BARRY:
John Wawrow is at the NHL Draft in Vancouver and he called in early to give us the low down and the latest rumblings he’s heard surrounding the Sabres!
JOHN:
Brad Gelber of USA Today’s BillsWire checked in on his regular Friday spot to update us on the Bills off weeks ahead as well as what he expects from the squad when they reassemble in July!
BRAD:
From WROC-TV in Rochester covering all sports from National to Buffalo to Rochester visited with us in the second hour and we got into some NBA hoops and draft talk with him as well!
THAD:
Mike Augello is ALSO our man over at the NHL Draft in Vancouver, B.C. getting and hearing the most recent specks of info and trade scenarios as well as some players the Sabres may be interested in moving for.
MIKE:
We were joined by Jenny Vrentas of Sports Illustrated for a few minutes to discuss her latest work and podcast on the newest NFL headlines as well as get some reaction from her on the USWNT and their run toward the championship!

Larry Ott of the Buffalo News called in to update us on auto-racing both locally and nationally this upcominjg weekend!
LARRY:
Jim Passon, Author of ‘Hidden Ball Trick”, one book in a coming series of books about the history of stats in the MLB according to era called in to discuss one of Jerry’s theories: juiced baseballs in the new era… the research was staggering.
JIM:
We also had the phone lines open and buzzing, taking calls and comments on many of these very inviting topics. All we ask is that you BRING IT!!!!!!! Our ‘Sports Update” also kept us up to date as far as locally and nationally.
